How would you like to go on a camping trip to another planet? With "Mars-One" project it'll be possible to visit Mars in another 10 years.

The strategic plan of Mars one is properly organized with a  mission objective of establishing a human settlement on the planet Mars in 2023.

So how exactly is this happening? scroll down and have a peek behind the curtains of Mars-One!!

In 2011, the foundation to this massive project was laid. that year feasibility study was carried out, calling upon experts from space agencies and private aerospace corporations around the world.

So who will be the first four humans to step on mars and make history?? They are currently selecting 40 challenging astronauts for this purpose.  A replica of Mars settlement (cold and desolated environment) will be built in Earth to train and adopt the astronauts for the special journey.

In 2014 the preparations for the supply mission will start which is scheduled on 2016 along with production of first Mars communication satellite.

The supply mission is planned to be launched in January 2016. It will land on the Red Planet in October 2016 with its cargo of 2500 kilograms of spare parts, solar photovoltaic panels, and general supplies.

2018 will be the year when the first settlement rover will land on Mars. The Rover will find out the ideal spot for the settlement to be built. As with the Curiosity Mars Rover, the 6-40 minute round-trip delay in communication (depending upon the positions of the Earth and Mars in their orbits) requires that the rover has some autonomy while much of its functions will be controlled by instruction from Earth. A live video stream will be broadcast to Earth 24x7x365.

So now with the settlement location being confirmed, by 2021 components of the settlement will reach Mars in six separate landers. It will compromise of 2 living units, 2 life support units, supply unit and another rover. The two rovers will then assemble the settlement for the first human team.

All water, oxygen and atmosphere production will be ready by early 2022, which is when the Earth crew will be given green light for the launch. Each component of the Mars transit vehicle will be launched into a low Earth orbit and then linked together. In September 2022 history will be made as the first four astronauts are launched on their journey to the Red Planet.

The Mars Team One astronauts will land in 2023. Once settled in, their first tasks include installing the connecting tubes between the individual capsules, configuring and activating the food production units, and assembling the remaining solar photovoltaic panels. After few weeks another five cargo ships will arrive, bringing additional living units, life support units, and a third rover.

In June 2025 the second crew of four astronauts will arrive on mars and replace the first four for another two year period. Hence with time the settlement will grow in its capacity for scientific research, experiments, and exploration of Mars, with a minimum of four high definition video streams providing viewers on Earth with 24/7/365 activity of Mars.
